Responsive Tool is a free, browser-based tool for previewing how a website renders across multiple device screen sizes at once. This page explains, plainly, what happens to your data when you use it.
No account, no login
The tool works entirely without creating an account, signing in, or providing any personal information.
The URLs you test
When you paste a URL and click Preview, your own browser loads that site directly — it is never sent to, stored on, or processed by our servers. We have no record of which sites you test.
Local storage
We save exactly one preference — whether you're using light or dark mode — directly in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device; it is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
Third-party sites you choose to preview
Any site you load inside the tool is subject to that site's own privacy practices, not ours — we have no visibility into or control over what a third-party site does once it's loaded in your browser.
Analytics and advertising
As this tool grows, we may add anonymous, aggregate analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand overall usage, and may display third-party ads (e.g. Google AdSense) to help cover hosting costs. If and when either is enabled, this page will be updated first to disclose exactly what's collected.
